Microsoft SQL Database Engineer

Together with the in-depth knowledge of your fellow database engineers, you focus on innovation (including AI) and automation (including AI). Additionally, you will manage the data platforms of our clients with solutions tailored to their needs: from advice/initial setup or review to migration/implementation, management and/or support, on-premises or in the (Azure) cloud.

Your impactful role

You design and implement (Azure) SQL platforms, including more complex Always On clusters, the right migration/conversion methods, etc...

You implement and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA)

You ensure speed and efficiency through Performance Tuning

You handle the daily management of the Microsoft data platforms of our clients

You take care of Database Security: reviews, encryption, data masking, auditing, ...

You automate installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks.

You perform preventive maintenance at clients. This results in recommendations that you will implement for the clients (performance tuning, patch level management, ...)

You always provide the necessary documentation and procedures (SOP)

You contribute to new trends in the database field, as well as further automation.

You are willing to continuously learn about Azure/Microsoft SQL data(bases)

You think and build along with our own tools/automation, making our work that little bit better

What do we expect from you?

As an MSQL DBA, you have knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and scripting (T-SQL and/or Powershell and/or …). You enjoy working independently but involve your colleagues when necessary. You combine this with a customer-oriented approach, are aware of the importance of documentation, and are willing to work in an on-call rotation system.

Above all, there is a willingness to learn and progress together!
