Online registration at the client is an initiative that digitizes and automates the entire connection process for new members. Through a user-friendly online flow, members can independently enter their data, upload documents, and securely sign their connection via itsme®. The process is fully integrated with internal systems, allowing for automatic checks and faster, more consistent processing of connections. The goal is to reduce manual tasks, shorten processing time, and increase data quality, while allowing employees to focus on more complex and customer-oriented tasks.
7-member team (analyst, business analyst, tester, developers, product owner, scrum master, ...)
Close collaboration between business & ICT in an Agile project mode.
Self-organizing team.
Working in sprints of 10 working days
Daily standup to explain task status to the team.
Attend demos with business to set up short feedback loops.
Proactivity and sense of responsibility are important in this team.
Challenge/commitment:
Speaks Dutch or French. Knowledge of the other national language and English is required.
Experience working in an Agile environment and scrum team
Experience in JAVA development
Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and/or Enterprise Architect is a plus.
Work location: Schaarbeek (Brussels). After the training period, 1 day in the office and 4 days of teleworking per week are possible.
Responsibilities:
Main task for the development of user stories regarding the client's services for registering, submitting, and modifying member data, taking into account the requested functionalities of the business.
Pair programming with developers
Able to take initiatives (technical and methodological)
Experience in development in a mixed build/run environment
Secondary tasks:
Assisting the tester in performing functional tests to validate the developed software
Creating automated tests
Assisting junior developers in software development
Full end-to-end responsibility for own developed features, including testing and validation
Writing, maintaining, and executing automated tests (unit, integration, and possibly UI/API tests)
Independently testing delivered functionalities before delivery to the team or business
Active contribution to the test strategy and quality control within the team
Knowledge:
- Java 21
- Spring MVC + Spring Boot
- TDD
- Integration test
- Quarkus is a plus
- Microservices ecosystem is a mandatory point
Event-driven Architecture is a plus
