WHAT YOUR JOB LOOKS LIKE

As a Database Engineer, you install and configure databases for our clients. These range from simple setups to highly available platforms. You prepare migrations and/or updates of existing databases and also carry them out. Additionally, you are responsible for performance, tuning, and daily maintenance. Guiding clients in their platform design and migrations is also one of your responsibilities. As a member of the BRYXX DBA team, you perform automation using the DevOps toolset of Puppet, Jenkins, etc.

WHAT WE ASK OF YOU

• You demonstrate experience in Open-Source databases such as PostgreSQL and have a good knowledge of Linux and Windows. Unix is a plus

• You have experience with other enterprise-level databases such as Oracle and/or SQLServer

• You consider performance tuning as breakfast and see disaster recovery as your lunch appointment

• Knowledge of low-level virtualization (VMWare, Oracle Linux VM, OVM,…) is a plus

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft AZURE and/or Oracle Cloud is highly appreciated. Knowledge of Middleware, with application servers such as Weblogic, Jboss, Tomcat,… is a bonus

• You speak Dutch and English. French is a plus
