Join our local Digital team as an Infrastructure Systems Engineer, responsible for managing qualified infrastructure environments and computerized systems - including the technical and operational support for the new Plant 3 IT infrastructure. You'll ensure stable, secure, and compliant IT operations while collaborating with global teams, enterprise architects, and local stakeholders, and play a key role in strengthening how our IT processes are documented, owned, and followed.
Plant 3 Infrastructure Support: Provide technical and operational support for Server/Citrix/AVD/Thin Client environments being introduced in the new Plant 3, including feasibility research into new technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop and their integration with on-site Citrix VDI via Dell Optiplex 3000 thin clients
Solution Design: Propose best-in-class technical solutions aligned with standards and guidelines; liaise with enterprise architects and global service owners to define and execute implementation tracks (infrastructure, applications, peripherals)
Shared System Ownership: Share ownership and responsibility (maintenance, lifecycle management, troubleshooting) for key systems, including:
Dell Wyse Thin Clients, WMS
Citrix LTSR 22.03
Azure cloud, AVD
Servers (2016 - 2025) — in collaboration with Corporate IT services (incl. server builds)
Active Directory – GPO management, DNS, DHCP, etc.
Databases – SQL, Oracle
VMware vSphere, Dell VxRail,VSAN ready, NetApp, Commvault, SQL Server, and security tools
Project Execution: Deliver IT infrastructure components for Plant 3 projects (MES, DeltaV, etc.) and other local/global infrastructure builds; manage procurement and implementation of new hardware
Process Ownership & Documentation: Take ownership of key infrastructure processes (e.g. Cloud Archiving) end-to-end - ensuring they are properly designed, documented, and consistently followed. Author and maintain manuals, design specifications, and work instructions, closing gaps in existing process documentation
IT Process Control: Contribute to closing gaps in IT process control and governance, helping drive a structural improvement in how processes are tracked, documented, and audited
Support & Incident Management: Provide 1st–3rd line support via ServiceNow; resolve infrastructure incidents at hardware and OS level
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain SOPs and technical documentation in Veeva Vault/Confluence; ensure GMP compliance and support validation activities
Stakeholder Management: Act as local contact for suppliers, corporate IT, and global support teams, communicating on operational and project-related activities across the organization
