Project

DECOM aims to reduce the mainframe dependency by migrating data from BNG, BCE (KBO), and other data sources to a modern open architecture. This migration will make the data more accessible to applications, analytical tools, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Assignment

Participation in the development and further evolution of applications, APIs, and web services within the DECOM program, with the aim of migrating data to a modern open architecture and gradually phasing out the mainframe dependency.

The assignment includes, among others:

• Technical analysis, design, and development of data exchange services and REST APIs.

• Integration of various applications.

• Adaptation and extension of strategic solutions.

• Integration of new functionalities related to data analysis and artificial intelligence.

• Development of application components in PHP and JavaScript.

• Collaboration in defining the technical architecture.

• Working with development teams to create high-performance, secure, and interoperable solutions that meet operational needs.

Language requirements

• Dutch or French

Practical

• Location: 1000 Brussels

• Work schedule: minimum 2 days per week presence in the office, depending on tasks and in consultation with the team. Teleworking is possible from home or at the employer's premises (in Belgium).
