For a client in Ghent, we are looking for a Business/Functional Analyst

This role is to support various projects, both in Belgium and in the UK.

Business Analyst

Role

• Responsible for gathering detailed requirements and functional specifications for the development and improvement of IT systems

• Works closely with the Solution Architect, Project Manager, and the involved business teams to exchange knowledge about functional and legal requirements

• Develops functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the assigned project(s), and assists with post-implementation support

• Collaborates with vendors implementing the systems to ensure that the required functionalities are communicated and validated for correctness and completeness

• Develops test cases for users and validates test results during user acceptance testing

• Updates process documentation, creates reusable and shareable assets.

Job Requirements

• Creating User Stories, Story Maps, and functional requirements

• Creating Use Cases

• Defining non-functional requirements

• Defining acceptance criteria

• Technical background in areas such as Java or .NET, cloud (Microsoft Azure) environments or SaaS solutions, and more specifically in data integration techniques

• Strong analytical skills, communication, and written skills

• Language proficiency: English, Dutch

• Able to analyze the activities of the business partner to understand their strengths and weaknesses

• Insight into the systems and capabilities of the IT organization

• Process-oriented

• Analytical thinking

• Knowledge of business functions

• Experience or understanding of EU regulations is a plus, but not required
